Avix Braun opened its doors in 1997. It is a conservation project with recreational purposes, privately owned. It was registered with 78 birds when first created.
Javier Braun, its founder, saw the need for an ecosystem where the birds could meet their requirements for living. He became fully involved in the techniques and research of bird reproduction in captivity.
The objective at this stage was to provide the best possible environment for the birds, and for this, the most important thing was to maintain their original habitat, that is: temperature, humidity, vegetation, food and environment. All these are basic issues for the proper conservation of wild birds in captivity, and also to favor their reproduction.
Avix Braun is a project operating with 100% private funds. It is directed to people who are fully committed to the conservation of endangered birds in Mexico and throughout the world.
